"That rock 'n' roll, eh? That rock 'n' roll, it just won't go away. It might hibernate from time to time, and sink back into the swamp. I think the cyclical nature of the universe in which it exists demands it adheres to some of its rules. But it's waiting there, just around the corner. Ready to make its way back through the sludge and smash through the glass ceiling, looking better than ever. Yeah, that rock 'n' roll, it seems like it's faded away sometimes, but it will never die. And there's nothing you can do about it."

There's no better way to describe rock music than the way Alex Turner, of the Arctic Monkeys, did at the 2014 Brit Awards. When I first read this, years ago, I knew he would be a performance to see. With his vintage style and smooth, retro vibes he is the true rock star of today.
This summer I made my way to Santa Ana, California to finally see the legend performing with his side band, The Last Shadow Puppets. Alex and his friend, Miles Kane, make up the rock duo that now has two albums: The Age of the Understatement and Everything You've Come to Expect. I wish there were more because I wanted it to be a never ending concert. Alex and Miles, both, are amazing performers that share a 70's inspired style that definitely translates into their music. Their songs are as unique and cool as their clothes and demeanor. They always look as if they walked out of a page of a Rolling Stone article from the 1970's.
So basically what I am trying to share with you is that if you love "that rock 'n' roll" they are a band to check out!
