Pucker Up

In honor of Valentine's Day, today is all about liquid lipsticks (the perfect no smudge lippy)! Thanks to makeup brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills and Kylie Cosmetics the liquid lipstick trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere! I personally love liquid lipsticks for their staying power, they can last all day and night without the need to touchup every five seconds. Here are my opinions on the liquid lipsticks I have in my collection:

Kylie Cosmetics

I think it's only fair to start of with the brand that started it all - Kylie Cosmetics. Love her or hate her you can't deny that Kylie saw an opportunity and snatched it! Her lip kits are really great if applied the correct way, liner first and a small amount of the actual liquid lipstick, too much and it can look flaky and patchy - a little goes a long way with this product. Her shades are also amazing, my personal favorite is Candy K which is a warm pinky nude and Exposed which is a warm mid tone beige.

Chantel Jeffries in Candy K and Candy K also applied by makeup artist Ania Milczarczyk.

Now we have Bianca Wiesler giving us the low down on Kylie's newest mini liquid lipstick set! Give her amazing YouTube channel some love while you're at it!

"Kylie Jenner has brought out some new additions to her Kylie Cosmetics line just in time for V-Day! I find that her products work best when you use the right products to prep: a lip scrub, a balm, and a liner. I recommend Kylie's own lip pencil with it's creamy formula, which pairs perfectly with her matte lipstick to make your pout last all night!"

Anastasia Beverly Hills

Next we have the brand that has the best color range and best formula, Anastasia Beverly Hills. The texture is quite moussey which makes it a dream to apply. These liquid lipsticks are also very pigmented and last all day if you apply a liner beforehand - for the shade I have which is Ashton (a mid tone yellow brown) I love applying Mac's liner in Spice underneath.

Ashton liquid lipstick applied by makeup artist Hung Vanngo.

NYX Cosmetics

Next we have NYX from the drugstore that comes along with a reasonable price tag and great formulas! I have the Lip Lingerie in the shade Push-Up and the Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade London. They both have a mousse like consistency like the Anastasia one but they don't last as long. The colors are gorgeous and if you're on a budget these are perfect to start your liquid lipstick collection with!

Stila

Stila was the first brand I purchased a liquid lipstick from in the shade Bellissima and the color does not suit me at all and the formula is quite drying but I like to mix it with the ABH Ashton shade to create a peachy brown shade that is trending at the moment!

Huda Beauty

Next we have the newest line that has entered the beauty scene and my makeup collection, Huda Beauty. I recently purchased the shade Bombshell and it's very similar to Kylie's Candy K which I love! The formula is almost watery but it dries very quickly leaving a comfortable application that lasts all day!

"Simmer down and pucker up."

Overall, liquid lipsticks are great for everyday wear as well as for nights out! They offer amazing pigmentation with great staying power and when applied the right way they are super comfortable! Hope this post gave you some insight on the different brands out there to find the best liquid lipstick for you!
