Spring Break The Wynwood Way

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

It's FINALLY Spring Break and this week has been filled with gallivanting the streets of Miami. The first installment of our Spring Break guide is Wynwood - the art district section of Miami! It's an up and coming part of town that focuses on urban graffiti art and shops that have a style that's all their own.

Reformation just opened up a pop-up shop in Wynwood and of course we had to check it out! We have been to the stores in both New York and California but it was amazing to finally visit one in our home state. Reformation is a brand that sources sustainable fabrics and vintage garments to try and help the environmental impact of conventional fashion. (The pop-up will stay open until May!!)

Our favorite place to get foreign and harder to find magazines is Base! It's mostly a men's clothing store but they also sell vinyls, homeware items, and amazing magazines - highly recommend checking out this great store!

We also took a visit to Aesop for some skincare magic!

Frangipani is a cute store filled with trinkets galore such as candles, pins, books, and some clothing. A great store if you are looking to buy someone a gift they'll be sure to love!

Lastly, we took a trip to Le Labo which is the most perfect and luxurious perfume and candle store (just ask Justin Bieber because apparently he is a fan of this brand as well).

Panther Coffee is a cafe that makes artisanal coffee and baked goods that always draws a cool crowd because of the amazing outdoor seating (perfect for socializing and working).

For other great eats visit Wynwood Diner with it's "Euro charm serving all-day breakfast and modernized classics, plus cocktails & craft beer."

After walking down past Aesop there is also a hallway filled with more cafes, juice shops, clothing stores, and a restaurant!

There are several galleries that leave their door open for you to explore all the different art works they have to offer. Especially being in the art district it's a great way to immerse yourself into the Miami
art world!

The most well known part of Wynwood are the 'Wynwood Walls' where each wall is painted with a different theme. They create a great photo opportunity and is quite the tourist attraction! There is also another juice spot and a restaurant at this location to enjoy a meal with a view.

Wynwood is also known for it's nightlife with concert venues, fashion shows, clubs, and lots of bars - there is something for everyone!

Hope this post helped you explore Wynwood with us and if you're planning on visiting that this gives you some ideas of what to check out!
