The 2017 Met Gala

Tuesday, May 2, 2017

This years theme for last nights Met Gala was Rei Kawakubo/ Commes des Garcons. It will also be the theme for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute exhibition. Here is a look at some of my favorite looks and trends seen on the red carpet:

Taylor Hill stuns in a Carolina Herrera dress. Makeup done by Patrick Ta using Lancome products.

Makeup trends to try: Selena rocks a pink smokey eye using Marc Jacobs beauty, both Gigi and Candice went for graphic eyeliner, and Behati went for a winged out plum eyeshadow look.

Kendall Jenner went super glam in La Perla with sheer detailing that left little to the imagination.

Alexa Chung rocks the mod look in Diane von Furstenberg, while Gigi goes sultry in Tommy Hilfiger.

Bella Hadid went down a similar route as Kendall in a revealing bodysuit by Alexander Wang.

All about dramatic sleeves and crystals.

Doutzen Kroes went for a Brock Collection off the shoulder gown and minimal makeup (as if she needed makeup in the first place because look at that face).

Old flames and new flames were seen strutting down the red carpet.

Pink and red took over: Emma Roberts looks chic in DVF, Lily Rose Depp wears Chanel, Zoe Kravitz graces in Oscar de la Renta, and Lily Aldridge rocks both red and pink.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen return to their boho roots on the Met Gala red carpet.

Shades of black: Dakota Johnson in Gucci, Candic Swanepoel in custom Topshop, and Riley Keough in Louis Vuitton.

Ladies in white: Stella Maxwell and Hailey Baldwin in Carolina Herrera.

Now off to the The Met to explore the exhibit!
