London Shopping: Make-Up
The Pink Ladies have just returned from London with loads of new stuff from the amazing shopping spots in London.
Over the next few weeks, I'm going to share some of my great finds. From magazines to foundation, you'll see all my new faves that I collected the past week.
This week I'll give you a look into some beauty products I bought at Boots, Superdrug, Charlotte Tilbury and Marks & Spencer.

I tried my new products through out the week and, so far, I'm very impressed and pleased with my new products.

From Boots I got a hold of the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzing Powder. I was so excited to smell it, after years of hearing Youtubers rave over it. And yes it actually does smell like chocolate. The best part is, it's a really nice matte bronzer that doesn't look too orange.
I also snagged their Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation. I don't think I have ever tried a foundation that I like better. It has a medium coverage and feels light weight. It stayed on all night and I didn't notice any oxidization (that's one thing that drives me crazy).
From Superdrug, I finally was able to take a look at Tanya Burr's makeup line. Unfortunately, most of it was sold out, however, I was able to get this really cute eyeshadow quad. The tones are almost a forest green, which is really different for me, but it is gorgeous on.
I know this next product can be found at Ulta, but it was the slightest bit cheaper in Superdrug, so after quite awhile of staring at it I finally bought the Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm Palette.
It's a set of iridescent, cream highlighters that work great on the eyes too. Some of the colors are a little wild but they're fun for a night out!

I have always wanted products from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's make up line at Marks&Spencer.
Rosie for Autograph has a wide range of products like cream blushers, contour sticks and eyeshadows. Every products was really beautiful and delicate. Basically it's not for those who only do "Instagram Makeup". It's a line for the girls who would rather feel very pretty and not over done.
I bought, from the line, an eyeshadow quad that's main color was a sparkly, rose pink. I also took home a cream blusher in a bright pink color. I also patted it on my lips (I once saw Rosie in a YouTube video use it like that).
Lastly, I spent way too much money at Charlotte Tilbury, but of course I had to since I was at an actual Charlotte store.
I picked up  the world famous "Pillow Talk" lipstick and lipliner. It really is the perfect nude. It's not too brown and has the right amount of pink.
"Walk of Shame" lipstick also caught my attention. I recently saw on Vogue that the model Miranda Kerr dabbed some of it on her lips on her wedding day. I instantly fell in love with it as I sampled it on my hand.
The last product I got, was the Colour Chamelleon Stick in "Dark Pearl". A couple years ago, I bought "Amber Haze" and it's one  of my favorite products. The collection works by eye color and both products are the ones that are best suited for brown eyes. I think it's a great idea for those who don't know to much about makeup. All you have to do is know your eye color to find the right shade and they are super easy to work with!

Girls On Fire

It appears that the leading ladies of pop music have collectively decided to release new music this summer.
We've recently been blessed with Haim's new album (we have a post all about it here: It's Haim Time), Kesha made a comeback with her new hit "Praying", and Lana Del Rey is getting ready to release a new cd that has plenty of collaborations.
I've picked my top three (at the moment) from some of the newest hits that are topping the charts.

1. "Fetish" by Selena Gomez

The song is really catchy and who doesn't love the vintage-looking pictures and video that go along with it?!

2. "Groupie Love" by Lana Del Rey

Every Penny Lane wanna-be will be rocking to this song.

3. "Woman" by Kesha

Can't wait to hear the rest of their upcoming albums!

Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture

Elie Saab Fall 2017 Couture

This 62 look collection is probably one of my favorite collections---ever! Ellie Saab's Fall 2017 Couture collection transports you to the renaissance. The stunning combination of jewel toned flowing gowns and capes and dainty, golden tiaras made every model look like a ruler from the Middle Ages. Some gowns had regal designs made with gold threading adding an extra touch of royalty. Saab's use of delicate and lux materials like velvet and tulle really created beautiful, feminine looks made for a ball... or a red carpet.
Elie Saab scribbled down how he imagined his show to consist of
“fallen kings, defeated by a fearless and heroic sisterhood . . . bright and brave warrior queens they were, are, and forever will be.”

It's Haim Time

It's Haim Time
After four long years, Haim has finally released their second studio album titled 'Something To Tell You'. I thought it would be hard to top their debut album 'Days Are Gone' but they did it without straying too far from their original sound. This album has a more mature feel with that signature Haim vibe with a Fleetwood Mac influence attached to some songs. The classic Haim sound includes "some sisterly harmonies, a signature retro sheen, and a climactic guitar solo"-MTV.

The pink ladies were fortunate enough to see them perform live all the way back in 2014 at the Fillmore in Miami Beach. They put on an amazing show as they play their own instruments filled with lots of drum & guitar solos that they really get into and involve the crowd in as well.

Haim is made up of three sisters from Los Angeles:

Danielle Haim - guitars, drums, and lead vocals
(Sidenote: Last weekend while we were in New York we walked into the store Reformation in Soho and then I froze... Is that... No... Could it be? It was. Danielle Haim walked right passed me as she was leaving with a tote full of Reformation goodies, and I will forever regret not speaking up and saying hi. This post would've been much cooler if I had a picture with her but you win some, you lose some.)

Este Haim - bass, drums, and back up vocals

Alana Haim - guitars, keyboards, drums, and back up vocals

Their first single of this album was 'Want You Back' which is a groovy tune that makes you want to get up and dance while dreaming of getting a lost lover back.

Followed by 'Little of Your Love' which is a perky pop-rock gem.

My personal favorite songs off the album:

Something To Tell You
The album's title track starts of slow but builds up to a beautiful pop rock dream.

Right Now
When they released the YouTube video of them recording this in the studio I knew it would be a favorite because of all the different instrumental elements used throughout.

Nothing's Wrong
A mix between pop and rock feels with a sound that's very reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac.

Night So Long
This is the last song on the album and they chose to slow down the pace with this ballad about the end of a relationship.

Haim is also very involved in the fashion industry with brands like Chloe and Gucci always lending them clothes to wear to events and performances. They are even seen front row at shows during fashion week because their personal style is just so good.

Staple items to dress like a Haim sister:
Vintage Levis
Leather Jacket
Pair of heeled booties
Sundresses
Funky sunnies
