New York City Travel Diary

Every year we try and visit New York City during the summer and this past weekend we did just that!  We hit up our favorite shopping areas and other fun activities that we love to do each time we visit. Here's a look at what we got up to:

Straight off the plane we always dump our luggage at the hotel and head straight over to Soho. This time we decided to make Glossier our first pit stop! The showroom is so adorable with pink everywhere you look and the staff is super friendly. I finally tested out the makeup from the Glossier line and fell in love with so many new products!

Dress is from Mango
Purchased - Cloud Paint in Beam & Dusk, Stretch Concealer in Dark, and Gen G in Cake
Previously owned - Balm Dot Com and Boy Brow (both are amazing!!!)

Shopping in Soho!
Nikki wears blazer from Zara and Old Skool Vans

Reformation is the perfect place to look for summer essentials and you might even run into a Haim sister in the store...(I freaked out!!!)

& Other Stories always draws us in with their classic clothing, fun accessories, and adorable set up!

We always pay Topshop and Madewell a visit!

Central Park is always amazing to take a stroll through because there's always something going on and the scenery is so beautiful!

Nikki wears dress from Forever 21 with Old Skool vans.
Gabby wears dress from Urban Outfitters with Supergas.

The Met is our favorite museum to visit as they have the perfect balance of classic art and historical pieces while incorporating a fun modern twist. We always love to check out the fashion exhibit that Conde Nast provides from the Met Gala and this year it was the Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons Art of the In-Between exhibit. It's really fun to see designs from the runway in real life especially in such a grand display.

Picasso & Van Gogh

Always love going up to the Rooftop Garden!

Thanks to Nikki we stumbled upon the Canal Street Market where they sold magazines, home decor, funky little gadgets, and flowers!

Dean & Deluca is a great place in Soho to refuel with a bite to eat and a cup of coffee to take on the go!

If you visit do yourself a favor and order the quesadilla under the starters list because it's basically a spicy pizza - SO YUM!!! (Great cocktail menu as well)

We finally visited every blogger's favorite restaurant, Jack's Wife Freda. They offer classic items such as burgers and salads with a Mediterranean twist.

I can't stop obsessing over The Ace Hotel and how perfect our stay was! We basically got upgraded and had a huge room (by New York standards) with a view of the Empire State Building and everything! We are definitely coming back for the Ace!!

There was a guitar in our room! This hotel is for rockstars!!
"You look good in that"
"Everything is going to be alright"
Photo Booth at Ace is also our fav

Until next time NYC!
