July Favorites

This is coming to you all a bit late but I just wanted to show off some of London and it's lovely shopping areas in last weeks post. My monthly favorites are all over the place as we started July off in New York City and in the middle it was my birthday and we were in LONDON! July has definitely been the best month this year so without further ado here are my favorites:

Lust For Life by Lana Del Rey - This was released while we were in London and I listened to the majority of it while we got ready for the day and I had it on repeat the whole plane ride home. Not much to say other than it's classic Lana with collaborations with The Weeknd, Stevie Nicks, A$AP Rocky, and Sean Lennon. My top favorites are 13 Beaches, Cherry, White Mustang, and In My Feelings.

Ultralife by Oh Wonder - Oh Wonder is a London based pop duo that has just released their second album and it's pure magic! I was a fan of some of their songs off their first record but I love each song on this new release! Ultralife, Heavy, and Solo are my top favs.

Our entire London trip is a favorite of mine but especially when we went for afternoon tea on my birthday at the iconic sketch. Everything from the interior design to the sweet treats and lovely service it was amazing and I had the best time! They brought us tea, a latte, a rack of sandwiches and pastries, scones, and if that wasn't enough they also brought out a slice of cake each so you're full for the rest of the day (the food baby was real).

While in London I also dropped some pounds at Charlotte Tilbury at a counter and her flagship store in Covent Garden! I purchased all eye products: (From left to right on my amateur swatches: Eyes To Mesmerise in Bette, Colour Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet, and The Classic Eye Powder Pencil in Audrey. I'm so impressed mostly with the cream in Bette as it stays on all day, there isn't any creasing, and the hint of glitter really is mesmerizing. Both pencils are also amazing because Charlotte can do no wrong!

I've had time to review the Glossier products I bought right at the start of July at the showroom in NYC and here's the breakdown: I mix Cloud Paints in Dusk & Beam and it gives you the best peachy flush - I'M SO OBSESSED. The Stretch Concealer is perfect for when you don't want to go full glam with your makeup and keep things simple. It has medium yet buildable coverage to hide dark circles and redness. Lastly, Generation G in Cake is a sheer lipstick but it can be built up when applied with three layers. Once again Glossier makes the perfect makeup for those fuss free application days.

I knew that while in London I had to purchase something from Alexa Chung's debut fashion line and I did just that when we visited Selfridges. I love my 'Screw You' tee so much and I can't wait to wear it forever and ever!

Tee, Sunnies, and Trousers - Zara // Shoes - Steve Madden
Leather jacket - Zara // Top - Alexa Chung // Trousers - Topshop // Shoes - Steve Madden

Pink trousers have really taken over my life this month and I'm perfectly fine with it. Both were also purchased in London at Zara and Topshop. They are so co comfortable and really elevate any outfit instead of reaching for a pair of jeans.

I picked up the Sunday Times while in London and Alexa Chung just happened to be the cover star of their magazine this issue! I was so happy and the editorial and interview were both equally amazing!

At the ned of July I watched 'Notting Hill' starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. My grandma actually recommended this film as she said it's one of her favorites and I could appreciate it after being in Notting Hill myself! It's a really cute film with classic nineties styles that are really funny to look back at but to also grab some inspiration from!
