NYFW Spring + Summer 2018

It's my favorite time of the year: NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!
So far this season has proven to be exceptionally amazing that it was so hard for me to choose top three or even five shows that I loved so the list went on and on. I tried my best to edit the list down but every designer really came through with fantastic designs that I want to wear right now!!!

ULLA JOHNSON

I. WANT. EVERYTHING.
The basket bags, color palette, set design, and all of those dreamy jumpsuits!
Look after look had my jaw dropping with all these girly outfits that I can't wait to wear come spring and summer!

ZIMMERMANN

GOLDENTIME was the name of this collection that was inspired by images of the Gold Coast in the designer's home country of Australia. Zimmermann never fails to create romantic dresses with floral prints, but this season they added some casual wear with rompers and sneakers that I adore!

SELF-PORTRAIT

Very parisian chic with stripes and red leather berets added to most looks. The designer, Han Chong, also said that the black trousers were a nod to Mick and Bianca Jagger in the 80's!

TIBI

The breakdown: power suiting is very in, lilac is THE color of next season (I need those lilac strappy sandals right now!!!), and transparent PVC belts are the next big thing?!

CALVIN KLEIN

"American horror, American dreams"
This collection from Raf Simmons definitely drew inspiration from horror films (some garments had a blood spatter effect), yet also some western vibes were also thrown in there, and Andy Warhol prints were imprinted on a handful of garments. As for the menswear I can totally see Harry Styles rocking those silky button downs pictured above!

VICTORIA BECKHAM

Posh Spice created yet another amazing line for next season with lilac frocks, glitter shoes, and peachy pastel workwear. My favorite part? The red glitter mules - YOUR VERY OWN PAIR OF RUBY SLIPPERS! There was no denying where her inspo came from as she posted the shoes on her instagram with the caption 'There's no place like home x'.

MANSUR GAVRIEL

Mansur Gavriel came on the scene showcasing highly coveted bucket bags and mules in all shades. Now their ready-to-wear line is a force to be reckoned with! Primary colors, cozy knits, puffer jackets, millennial pink, and the come-back of the scrunchie were all seen on the runway.

DION LEE

Inspired by the bustling streets of New York and the relaxed beaches in Australia. Leather, workwear, and intricate silhouettes were all included in this ultra chic collection.
