Tom Ford Spring 2018

Thursday, September 7, 2017

New York Fashion Week has begun and I couldn't be more excited. Tom Ford showcased his Spring 2018 collection. Top models and celebrities gathered in the neon pink-lit space to watch as models strutted down the runway in some of the most glamorous designs.
The show was divided into two parts--- day and evening. The first model emerged as David Bowie's "Fame" blared through the venue. Bowie, known for his over-the-top style, was the perfect match to this retro, sparkling collection.
Big shoulders, bright colors and tailored jackets were the focal points of the collection.

Some of my favorite pieces were blinding because of the sequins. Tom Ford offered many ways to show a little leg. The designer brought sex-appeal to the catwalk with sequin under-wear, very (very) low-rise trousers, and bum-skimming tunics.

For the eveningwear portion of the show, Gigi Hadid opened the show as elegant piano music played.

The gowns, made for red carpets and celebrity events, were sheer, ruched and had armor-inspired sleeves. Some of the evening looks were topped with a tuxedo jacket. Tom Ford, known for his men's tuxedos, had a lot of female clients asking for their very own---- and now they've got it.

To go along with the glamorous collection, was the star studded audience and after party.

Overall the show was a great kick-off to fashion week and I can't wait to see what's to come!
