Topshop Spring/Summer 2018

Every time London Fashion Week rolls around I'm most excited to see what the Topshop show has to offer. They are always ahead of the game when it comes to trends and their front row is spot on as well.

This season the collection was, according to show notes, inspired by Soho's heady '90s nightlife scene. The venue was located smack dab in the middle of that clubbing heartland on Charing Cross Road. The unofficial muse for the brand, Kate Moss, attended the show as she is probably the one woman who remembers those high times better than most!

The collection had a mixture of sporty elements with more sophisticated pieces.

I'm always a fan of Topshop's outerwear and this season they absolutely killed it!

Loved the looks they created for a night out on the town filled with red metallics, fishnets, snakeskin print, cat eye sunnies, and a pointed toe heel.

Pink isn't going anywhere next season as it was incorporated into so many of the looks!

The show ended with a parade of denim looks, t-shirts with each models name on them, and fluffy outerwear.

As for makeups the inspiration for this season's beauty look is leftover glamour reminiscent of the late '80s, early '90s in Soho,London. "It's lived-in makeup, the greasier the better - all created with fingers, no brushes at all."

Grungy and distressed waves are the hair style of choice this season. "Inspired by those late night girls who were out clubbing every night."
