Flicker Sessions

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

On October 20th, Niall Horan released his debut album, Flicker. This album was highly anticipated after he released 'This Town' in September of last year. With each new single being released I couldn't wait for the full album as his sound is right up my alley. Lots of folk and rock influences with Niall taking inspiration from Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles.

The whole album is a favorite but if I had to choose my top three it would be:

1. Flicker
The album's name and a hauntingly beautiful ballad about the end of a relationship.

2. On The Loose
One of the few upbeat songs on the album that instrumentally sounds like a Fleetwood Mac single.

3. Paper Houses
Another song that showcases how much Niall has grown lyrically.

Last Monday, Nikki and I made our way to The Fillmore to spend a night watching the Flicker Sessions.

He put on such a magical performance with a live band that was high energy and mesmerizing to watch. You can't deny Niall's charm when he takes time to talk to the audience and his stage presence is unbelievable, you can really tell that he loves performing.

Nikki wears: Romper - LF, Boots - Asos

Gabby wears: Leather jacket - Zara, Dress - H&M, Boots - Topshop

If you haven't already, I highly suggest giving Flicker a listen!
