Best Met Gala Looks of All Time

Thursday, April 26, 2018

The Met Gala --- AKA the epitome of fashion --- is just around the corner and I am so excited! No red carpet event can compete with the outstanding gowns that parade into the Met. Ever since it's beginning nearly 70 years ago, some of the most amazing looks have been photographed there.

For those who aren't aware of this fabulous event, it's an annual fundraising gala that benefits the costume institute in the metropolitan museum of art in New York City. Each year there's a design theme that the attendees follow. Then for that year, the museum displays works of fashion that follow the theme. Over the past few years the Pink Ladies have made visits to the Met to take a look at the stunning fashion that inspired the exhibit.

This year the theme is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic Imagination".  It shows the connection between fashion and the masterworks of religious art.

By the way, we'll be heading to New York this summer to check out the exhibit so keep an eye out for it!
