Current Skin Care Favorites

Skincare is so important. It's always been something I've really focused on because of growing  up with not the greatest skin. So many women don't properly take care of their skin and it really bothers me because we only have one skin!

It really bothers me that some people sunbathe without sunscreen, sleep in the makeup from the night before and wear layers of foundation at the gym. These are all easily avoidable mistakes that I can't fathom. I'm not saying I'm a skincare guru, but I try my best to take proper care of my skin.
Here's some of my tips along with my current favorite products.

When removing make-up be gentle and use micellar water or a makeup wipe to get as much makeup off before cleansing. Once you've done that, wash your face once to remove the rest of your makeup and then a second time to actually clean your skin. Also, if you were wearing lipstick, it's great to use a lip scrub because you don't want any of that to be left behind!
I started using this Bliss jelly cleanser (because I had run out of Glossier's Milky Jelly) and I actually really like it. The products are almost identical ... and it's a tad bit cheaper.
Make sure you use toner to close your pores! I love using it. It makes my skin feel so clean. I also like spritzing as well.

Make sure you moisturize! Not only with a face cream, but also an eye cream. And don't forget your lips! I love Glossier's Balm Dotcom because it's moisturizing, doesn't feel sticky and doesn't break my skin out around my mouth. Another thing I'll do before bed, is use a drop of facial oil on my forehead just to help prevent any wrinkles!

Exfoliating is one of my favorite things to do. I do it about once a week! I love this Ordinary one. It's a peeling solution that makes your skin tingle and leave it feeling smooth. I use it to help with the texture of my skin.

And lastly, there are so many great face masks out there, so take advantage! I usually use two at a time. I use a moisturizing one for my forehead and around my face. Then, I'll put a purifying one through my t-zone.
