Of Another Time

Maybe it's because I'm currently reading Emma or maybe it's all the museum hopping the Pink Ladies recently did while in New York, but whatever the reason I am currently really inspired by the past.
I really love historical books, the art of yesteryear and just the overall care that was put into every creation. But lately, I've been doing more than just admiring historical ideals, I've been sneaking bits into my everyday fashion and makeup.

Lately, I've been inspired by fresh skin and rosy cheeks so I've just been keeping my makeup really natural. I love to use my new "Soleil Tan de Chanel", Glossier Skin Tint, along with a rosy cream blush on my skin. For my eyes, I've been going light and bright with shimmering pinks and lilacs like Glossier's Lidstars.

For my clothes, I've been wearing soft colors and dresses everywhere I go, along with ballet flats. I love the way people used to dress up and really put an effort into their looks, and also, how feminine and beautiful women dressed with frills and flowers.

And it's not just me that currently inspired by the past, the UK Harper Bazaar's June issue was filled with beautiful editorials set in stunning manors. The June issue of Vogue had an article about a book discussing French aristocrats, and with this article, pretty paintings from an 19th century setting.

Maybe you too, can find inspiration from these pretty little things that make me feel like I'm in another time.
