Tom Ford Spring 2019

New York Fashion Week has just begun and Tom Ford has the standards high.

The Spring 2019 collection was inspired by the Netflix series Babylon Berlin. A show set in the dark corners of the 1920s. According to Vogue Runway, the show's theme song blared through the speakers as the models strutted down the catwalk.

The collection was a mixture of white, black and nude leathers, feathers and satins. It was chic and glamorous. You could see the Roaring 20's inspiration through the headscarves and trenches, but there was also a taste of the 1970s as well. This inspiration was evident through the men's clothes, with their Aviator glasses and glam suits.

It is a beautiful, simple collection that has me ready to see what the other designers of New York Fashion Week are going to offer!
